Join us for a narrative journey through the inception and cultivation of Circus Arts Therapy.  We will highlight the foundational philosophies that inform CAT’s content, goals, cadence, and soul. Furthermore, we will illustrate how specific circus-related activities are seamlessly folded into a therapeutic setting and provide scaffolding for individuals to overcome physical, social, and emotional challenges. We will highlight findings of our recently published article that indicate significant benefits of CAT in those three realms. Importantly, we will highlight the intersection of circus and science. We will underscore the critical need for the ACE membership to engage in scholarly work so we may better identify the activities and perspectives that have the most prolific and positive impacts. Scholarly work will also enable us as a collective to garner much needed funding for our expanding activities and presence in the United States.
