With the increase in circus programs accommodating students with disabilities in the United States, it is important to recognize and consider the effects of the American with Disabilities Act (ADA) and the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPPA). This legislation could effect adaptive circus practices. This workshop will investigate these laws, consider its implications on circus teachings, and demonstrate how to create best practices regarding circus and disabilities.
