Limited Capacity full

A favorite of performing artists, this workshop focuses on ensemble building OR personal act creation. Come as a team, ready to build stage presence and teamwork in performance contexts, or come as an individual, ready to sharpen your performance skills and learn to communicate clear messages to your audience. We will work with physical theatre and improvisation exercises to find the stories our aerial tricks want to tell. Pre-requisites: Enough comfort on an aerial apparatus of your choice to focus on expression, not skill building.

Learn from the creator of Memphis's longest running theatrical circus show, "Night Shift"-3 years of aerial theatre and counting! In addition to her work with "Night Shift", Callie has vast experience adapting and choreographing theatre for circus arts. Her recent projects include: Edward Ablee’s classic play, “The Zoo Story” and Mark Ravenhill's "(Pool) no water" adapted for circus theatre, as well as teaching Aerial Theatre at Rhodes College in Memphis, Tennessee, for almost 2 years.
