Teaching Unicycle: From First Pedals to Center Ring LIMITED

Sign up or log in to save this to your schedule, view media, leave feedback and see who's attending!

Limited Capacity seats available

This workshop will cover best practices for teaching beginning unicycle, as well as training methods and tips for teaching more experienced riders. We will cover unicycle sizing and maintenance, first steps (or pedals), spotting techniques, and how to teach key skills such as freemounting, idling, backwards, and more. We will also cover skill progressions for a few more advanced skills, and training methods to improve skill regardless of skill level. There will be time at the end to answer questions on any specific skills or topics that attendees may have. This will be a demonstration workshop, not an experiential one, so no unicycle or unicycle abilities required! I will spend most of the time talking, and using either a single student as an example, or demonstrating myself. This will allow us to cover more material in the short amount of time. Expect to take notes, feel free to take photos.
