Why do we “tuck” the pelvis? What is hollow body? What is the difference between core strength and core control? In this workshop, we’ll look at the anatomy of the pelvis, spine, and core and begin to understand how our abdominal muscles should work optimally and what sorts of core dysfuntions we may see in ourselves and our students. Participants will practice and observe each other and learn basic ways to begin to change engagement and movement patterns that can easily be integrated into warm ups. This workshop is for anyone who teaches bodies how to move and is looking for more information on this topic. Lauren is an aerial coach, personal trainer, and Pilates instructor and is one half of the teacher trainers at Versatile Arts.
