Choreographers are scientists who research a range of topics from people, environment, literature – any topic, really – and then they set out to show an audience their discoveries through movement. ChoreoLab: Activating Space focuses on how relationships can be perceived through space and how to look at your choreography from an audience perspective in regards to space. The workshop will include light movement activities and discussion. Caroline Calouche is the Artistic Director of Caroline Calouche & Co., a non-profit dance and cirque organization in Charlotte, North Carolina whose work has been presented throughout the Southeast and in Europe.
